We are still in the process of remodeling our house and it's been awhile since I've posted, but everything is going along smoothly. Still lots of things to do, but we should be winding down soon to move the furniture in, and I can get back to painting commissions. On the other hand, hubster wants me to paint a mural in the family room. He sheet-rocked the area where there was an extra doorway we didn't need into the master bathroom, then I used joint compound over the sheet-rock to smooth the wall out, sanded, and repainted. There is a light on the wall that we decided to move down a bit for my idea for the mural to really make it look 3D. I've sketched the idea out with a stone wall and pillar for the real light to hang on...mountains and ocean in the distance...balmy cloudy sky...blooming flowers and blooming tree...and more. Today, I started on the big sky, and tomorrow I'll put more details in those clouds and get to work on the mountains on the left.
