This morning we got up at 5 a.m. to get ready to go to the hospital for the ankle surgery for my husband. I got him checked in at 6 a.m. and the surgery is scheduled for 8 a.m. So, they said it would take about 3 hours, so I'll go back to pick him up when he is about ready to come home. I've made his recliner and bed all comfy with extra pillows, blankets and such, so he can pick where he wants to be. The poor guy is going to be in a lot of pain, but I know he is happy to finally get this surgery done and over with and maybe he won't limp after it heals in a couple of months. He has had problems for years with his left ankle. It buckles when he walks and has been so painful for him. I pray that this will help him. He is such an active person and he has been struggling for quite awhile just doing normal things we all take for granted. I can't wait to get him back home so I can take care of him.
