This is Sophie, a cute little Yorkie, and princess! Her little crown is precious and will be included in the painting. This is the 3rd Yorkie I will be painting for Candee Aaron. The rock has been patched, sanded, black base coat, and sketch are finished. Next, I will start the base color for the fur on Sophie's face.

It's really windy today! Wind advisory with gusts up to 45-50 mph. The wind was howling all night long too!

beautiful work. You mentioned you patched..then sanded your rock...do you use wood filler to patch any rock blemishes or something else? I love the "Bling Bling" of the crown...i spotted some glitter and glue in the background of the little baby pic...is this how u created the sparkle of the crown? do u seal it too after? super job...enjoy viewing your work!

Hi Leighsa,

Thank you!

Yes, I use wood filler to fill bumps and little cracks on the river rocks, then sand it after it is dry. And, I also used glitter and Elmer's glue on Sophie's crown. Last, but not least, I do use a spray sealant over the glitter and entire rock for a protective seal.
