Today, I've been spraying layers of clear sealant on Justin. Sorry for the blurry photo, but the shinier he gets, it's harder to get a clear photo, plus it's pretty dark out in our garage. Anyway, I have 3 light layers on right now with drying time in between. I plan to do a couple of more layers before I go to bed, then let him dry all day tomorrow, before I ship him on Wednesday. Even though I'm using a satin finish, I've found that the sealant still gets super shiny with more thin layers on top of each other. It just takes a bit of patience to get the desired look. In the beginning, years ago, I sprayed thicker layers and got drips, which was discouraging, to say the least! I'd have to sand the drips, hope I didn't sand the paint off the portrait, and try again. Lesson learned.
