The last 3 afternoons, I've been working on the "Original Minnesota Rock Heads" for Pam Ray. She makes these felted figures and they are always going on crazy and fun adventures. She asked me if I could paint a group portrait of them, so I said I would try, even though they are a bit out of my comfort zone. There are a lot of details on each one and they all take time with the faces and clothing. They are coming along nicely, and I hope to be finished by tomorrow. The excessive heat here in Arizona is making it hard to paint all day. My studio gets up to 90 degrees by late afternoon because the A/C unit just can't keep up with how hot it has been. The temps are supposed to start dropping a couple of degrees every day. We have gone from 118 down to 113 degrees today.
