The surgery went well for hubby. He is now part bionic man with a long metal screw in his ankle. I have a wheelchair, walker, and ramp setup in the house, but I don't think he'll be going anywhere soon with all the pain medicine he will be taking the next week or so. Lots of rest and minimal moving around is what he needs right now. He's not feeling any pain yet, but he will. When they did the surgery he was put under and they also did a pain block medicine from his knee down so he wouldn't be in excruciating pain after the surgery. But, the surgeon said once it wears off he will be in a lot of pain. Since he got home yesterday afternoon, he's been taking oxycodone every 4 hours, and if they stop working, then he will have to take the morphine sulfate. I just pray it doesn't get that bad. We'll have to wait and see. Right now, all is good.
