It's Sunday afternoon and I finally took some photos of my new art studio. I have so much more space than I did at our other house and I will be able to use my fold out table for larger projects if I want to for even more painting areas. I also have a nice sitting area with a lounge chair in the corner of the room where I can browse through my art books and read. There were mirrored glass doors on the closet, but I took them out and hung curtains that match the window curtains. Hubby built shelves for my art stuff and I used my plastic storage units at the bottom of the closet. So, now I can have everything I need in one place. I have a nice big window right above my desk area with my computer and printer to the left, and a small TV if I want to have that on, or I can pop a movie in the built-in DVD player, too.
All the work I did this summer on the cement floors with the staining process really looks nice and will be easy to keep clean with just a damp mop. I like earth tone colors. The browns, greens, and the mauve curtains really set things off against the warm tan walls and slump stone. I still have a couple of boxes to unpack, then I will be done, but I’m so happy with the way the room turned out.
