My brother-in-law flew back to California on Saturday and Sunday hubby and I just decompressed and relaxed. It was hubbies birthday yesterday, too!
It's a new week here at RiverRockArt Studio and there are going to be some changes on my blog. After getting some legal advice about progress photos, it was suggested that I don't have to give up my "secrets" on how I do my paintings, and was advised to keep the step-by-step process off of my blog and keep those for any publishing and profits in the future. I will still be showing finished pieces when they are done as they will be in my Store Gallery for sale. Obviously, I can't stop people from stealing my ideas, but I don't have to show or tell them how I do it. The only people that will be getting progress photos are my customers that ask for commissioned work and those will be sent to their email or facebook private message areas.
I will be showing photos of the rocks I'm choosing for projects, then just a final photo when the project is finished on some but not all of my projects.
Anyway, the photos came in for the next commission and I will start on that next Monday. The portrait will be painted on a 16 x 12 inch canvas board and it is for a dog memorial.
So, this week, it's all about Halloween. You've already seen the pumpkin cat rock I finished and it sold in just a few minutes to one of my returning and favorite customers. Right now I'm painting small pumpkins like I did last year. When I get a bunch done, I'll post a few of them together and take a group shot and show a photo in the next couple of days or so.
It's already 101 degrees at noon and we have heat warnings and unusual high temps expected the next couple of days in central Arizona. It could reach 112! We have to make sure we drink lots of water, that's for sure!
I want to thank all of my new and returning customers that shop at RiverRockArt Studio and hope you all are having a great day!
Time to get to work!
