This afternoon, I will be starting on the memorial portrait of Charlie on slate. Charlie was such a pretty boy, a beautiful chocolate Lab. I have the slate piece picked out and will start on his sketch in pencil...which will take awhile. Charlie has a lot of highlights that I will need to map out, so the sketch will take longer to do before I can start painting.
