We had our first blazing fire in the living room at the new house last night and it was wonderful! It has been so windy and cold for the last couple of weeks and the fireplace sure takes the chill off. We made another fire this morning and sat in front of it all bundled up with our morning coffee.
Little Baby and Coco are getting settled in just fine, too.
We are back at our other house right now where I can still use my good internet service. Yesterday, we found out that WildBlue is not available in our area but they are working on getting a tower out in that area sometime in the next month or 2. It's available for our zip code but not at our new address, go figure. We are on the other side of the mountain where their satellite can't reach us. I can't wait that long, so I did more extensive research on other alternatives as I don't want to have to go with HughesNet Gen4. I've heard some awful complaints about both companies and went to the Verizon store to see if they could tell me more about their MiFi 3G wireless internet service. So, after talking to a rep for over an hour, I walked out of the store with their jetpack wireless Mobile Hotspot. They aren't sure that it will work out at our house, but I have 3 grace days to see if it will or not and I can take it back if it doesn't. I'm going back out to the house this afternoon with my laptop and tablet to see if it does. I will still have limited usage like WildBlue or HughesNet, but we are on the Family Verizon Plan so I want to give it a shot, plus it is about $30 cheaper than Hughes and WildBlue. I know that the customer service and tech help will be a thousand times better with Verizon if I have any problems, if it all works out. Crossing toes and fingers.
The sun is shining, it's 36 degrees, and there's not a cloud in the sky. Hubster is building shelves in the closet in my new studio for me this afternoon so I can have more storage space, and I'm working on a gift commission in the meantime. I need to take some photos to show you the new space.
If the MiFi Hotspot works this afternoon, I'll come on and let you know.
