Frodo (Commission) Friday afternoon

This is Frodo, a beautiful tabby cat. Frodo has a rather smug look, which I love. I'll see if I can capture that expression when I paint him. Last week, I painted Shomai, Frodo's buddy. I will be using the first photo for the position of the head for the portrait on the river rock, and the other photos as reference for eye color, fur colors, etc. I added some extra photos of Frodo and Shomai. They are so cute together!

*Sigh* Yes, those are my darling fur-children, complete with associated attitudes / expressions - most of which appear to eye as complete disdain for humanity. On the other hand, they are capable of extreme acts of compassion and comfort. It's your responsibility to decipher which mode they are in at any given moment. :)
