Oh my goodness! Hubby and I were relaxing on the back patio and saw a Bobcat in our front yard. Soooooooo pretty! It's the first time we have seen one in the desert. It was under one of the bushes and stared right at us. After awhile it slowing slunk away. It came back a little bit later and walked across the road back into the desert. I didn't want to run into the house to get the camera because I knew it would run away. So cool! I hope we see it again, and I will be prepared with camera in hand.
Below, is a generic photo of a desert Bobcat. The one we saw looked pretty close to this one.

I'm taking the weekend off to gear up for commissions next week. We are still unpacking boxes in the garage, and we still have so much organizing to do before it starts to get too hot this summer.
I'll be back on Monday to start on a commission of Buddy for Elizabeth Curtis and her sister Pat. Buddy is Pat's pooch, and Elizabeth is getting the portrait done for her. What a nice sis! It's not a secret, so I can show the progress photos when I start. Buddy will be painted on a medium-sized river rock.
