Two weeks post-op, large mass removal and total hysterectomy.. Pain level is tolerable. Belly is still swollen. Incision sites are healing well. The only one that still hurts a bit is the one incision inside my belly button. Just feel super tired and fatigued. Tired of feeling tired. I can't wait for my energy to return. I know it was a major surgery, I'm just impatient and want to feel useful again. I'm a strong woman and don't like to feel physically weak. A person can only watch so much Netflix and read before their eyes feel like they are going to pop out of their head.I can walk around without any problem for short periods of time. Sitting is still a bit uncomfortable, but I have been enjoying time on the patio in the evenings with hubster watching the desert wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Our dogs and cats have been such a comfort to me during this time too. Little Bitsy has not left my side for one minute. She even gets tears in her eyes when she looks at me and I have to wipe them away with a tissue. She is so cute. Phone calls, emails, cards from family and friends have cheered up my days and have made me feel so loved. My biggest achievement in the last 2 weeks, which is ridiculous, is reaching Level 893 on Farm Heroes Saga! Yes, Level 893! lol I know, I know, cry me a river...suck it up buttercup! I'm looking forward to getting back in my art studio again pretty soon and looking forward to a bunch of projects outside in the fall that I want to do. Really...I am so thankful for so much. Thank you again for all of the kind words and prayers. I believe in the power of prayer. I remember the night before surgery telling myself that tomorrow you will finally find out if you have cancer or not and reminding myself that I am so lucky to have hundreds of people praying for me. It was an overwhelming feeling and I felt so calm. I get teary-eyed every time I think about it. Life can change in an instant. Be thankful for everything and don't take this life for granted.
