We just got back from Vet and the good news is Coco doesn't have kennel cough. The Vet loved the fact that I brought in a video for her to watch and downloaded it for her records. She thinks that Coco has an upper respiratory infection and gave us antibiotics to give to her. She also needs to be be put on a prescription diet that is more healthy for her as the canned and dry food she has been on may not be good for her. So, it looks like our little Coco is going to be okay. We only need to take her back if the gasping for breath continues. The x-rays show that her trachea is a bit smaller, but keeping her weight around 15 pounds should help with any constriction. No more doggy treats of any kind except for carrots and green beans, which she loves anyway. No rawhide chewies of any kind, because they may irritate her throat. We also had her toenails trimmed while we were there.
