Some people ask how can I paint nearly every day and stay motivated?
Well...some days are better than others, that's for sure, but I do try to make progress on projects every afternoon even if it's just a little bit. Some days I can paint like crazy, and other days I only get a little bit done. I make sure to get something painted though and it takes a lot of discipline. If I start feeling burnt out, I take some time off to re-energize and work on the business/networking side of RiverRockArt.
New projects/commissions keep me motivated to get the last project done, too. Just knowing there is another project waiting in the wings that someone wants me to do keeps me motivated. Also, painting things out of my comfort zone keeps things interesting where I can learn new techniques and not get bored. I never know what someone is going to ask for. I love my job!
