Monkey progress

I'm dry brushing a medium brown and ivory color on the body. I like this technique because it gives it a nice soft color and will make the monkey look more like an antique piece. To  achieve this, I use a stiff (dry)short bristle brush, dip the end of the brush in the paint, dab the excess paint off the brush onto an old towel until most of the paint is gone, then do circular light motions on the area that I'm painting until I achieve the look I want.   I stay away from the edges so the black will give a nice shadowed look giving it more dimension. I will go over the body a couple of more times to make the colors pop a bit more. Then I will start on the facial features and feet.
