These are the first blooms on our potted desert cactus. Just beautiful! The blooms are enormous and will only last a few days.
It has been soooooooooo windy this afternoon! All of our wind chimes are clanging away and our little trees are bending in the wind. I hope it calms down by this evening.
I'm getting all of my paints together to start painting the historic Nevada State Prison rock. I will start on the sky first with a dark blue. The rock is so porous, it will need several coats to get a solid color. I will be working on the floor all afternoon and will only take a few photos to show you this afternoon on my blog.
