Milly Progress...

Milly is starting to get whiter. The trick is to be able to still see all the fur while painting an animal that is all white. Some grey areas have to show underneath or you won't be able to see the individual fur lines at all. If I just painted Milly a solid white she wouldn't have any detail at all and would look like a cartoon, that's why I go the extra steps to make her and all animals that I paint more realistic with undertones of color. It's all about the details. Soon I will start the detail on the pink areas.

Wow, Maggie, she is beautiful, this is precisely why I couldn't think of anyone better to paint her for me - thank you so much for this :)

Awww, thanks Nikki.I hope I'm getting close to what she looked like. She was your precious little girl, and I want to try to capture her likeness as best that I can. You are so welcome. Thank you for asking me to paint her.
