I sent hubby down to WalMart awhile ago to get some bubble wrap for packing and to see if he could find a Lazy Susan for me to put these heavier rocks on while I'm painting...and he just got home. I've been painting nearly 10 months almost non-stop and my wrists have started to hurt from moving these heavier rocks all around while I paint. I used to have an old Lazy Susan that I used before for the rocks years ago, but I couldn't find it since we moved last year. Anyway, he found a nice sturdy bamboo one at WalMart that will work perfect, and now I can turn my rocks without resistance while working on them and give my wrists a break.
A little history about the Lazy Susan...
The term "Lazy Susan" made its first written appearance in a Good Housekeeping'[1]' article in 1906, although their existence dates back to the 18th century. Prior to the use of the term 'Lazy Susan', they were referred to as dumbwaiters, a term today applied to a small elevator for transporting food.[2] There is no clear evidence as to the origin of the Susan part of Lazy Susan.[3](from wikipedia)
