A few years ago I painted some cottage rocks. Most of them were given to family and friends, and sold at art shows. I really enjoyed doing them, and when I was going through some boxes from our last move, I found one and thought I would show everyone. It is a large rock and weighs in around 10 pounds. It's one that I will keep, and the first one I ever did. The thatched roof and chimney were done using wood putty to give it that 3-dimensional look. I wish I could take credit for that idea, but I saw it in one of Lin Welford's books. Lin was the one who turned me into the crazy rock lady! Windows, doors, curtains, chimneys, crystal doorknobs, the possibilities are endless. I'd like to do more of them on a smaller scale, and think they would be a great addition in the store gallery.
