Cherry Blossom Rock Finished

Okay...got sidetracked for a bit. My dad called and we talked for awhile.

Anyway, I think I'm done with this project. I was going to put the glass decorative pieces in the center of each blossom, but I'm not sure if it would make them look gawdy. So to be safe for now, I'll just think on that for a couple of days before deciding to glue them on or not.

I think it turned out pretty well, and it has that kind of oriental feel that I was looking for. The last steps were dotting the centers of each blossom with a white and metallic rose color, and then  I watered down a citrus color for the centers. I finished the buds and leaves and put brighter highlights of white on the branches. The last thing to do is to spray on 2 to 3 layers of high gloss lacquer which will bring out the colors even more.

Tomorrow, I'll try another design for the glass gems. Until then...have a great night and weekend!
